January 1st – International Day of Sex Worker Visibility

January 1st is the anniversary of the day in 1999 that the Nordic Model was first implemented - we want it to instead be known as the International Day of Sex Worker visibility.

On this day, anyone who wants to can add the hashtag #EndWhorephobia to posts that humanize sex workers, teach others of the stigma sex workers face, fight common misconceptions about sex work, advocate for the decriminalization of sex work (and against the Nordic Model).

This hashtag will be used by our pages on social media throughout the year to update others on our projects, as well as other movements, organizations, events, and news.
